These guidelines outline the operational rules for using the SMARTSplus API. Please review them carefully.
The SMARTSplus API provides access to molecular data and analytical results. The following terms are defined for clarity:
To perform POST requests from external sources, an API key is required. API keys are issued upon registration, which involves providing your email address and confirming your agreement to these policies. API keys are personal, non-transferable, and must be kept secure.
GET Requests: These requests for retrieving pre-generated data can be performed without an API
key.
POST Requests: These requests require an API key when made from external applications.
Activities that harm the service, such as automated scraping, reverse engineering, or overloading the system, are strictly prohibited. API keys involved in any malicious behavior may be revoked or permanently deleted.
Although there are no explicit user limits, any abuse or harmful activities may lead to throttling, suspension, or complete deletion of the offending API key. Usage is monitored to ensure compliance with these policies.
SMARTSplus reserves the right to modify these usage policies at any time. In cases of violation, API access may be suspended or terminated, including the revocation or deletion of the associated API key.
